WHIPIC: We-Pick! Content Craft Lab Programme

We create stories about the interpretation of World Heritage through collaborations with various artists. These stories are distributed in digital media formats to ensure easy access for the public interested in World Heritage and heritage interpretation. Initially part of our regular publication project, this initiative has been rebranded as a new independent programme of WHIPIC starting in 2024. Each year, we select a specific theme related to heritage interpretation and introduce relevant World Heritage cases.

    What is WHIPIC: We-Pick!?

In emphasizing WHIPIC's proactive role in heritage interpretation activities, we have created the brand “We Pick,” which sounds like WHIPIC.
We hope that diverse values can come together like a puzzle to enable a truly inclusive interpretation of heritage, and this concept has been applied in our typographic design.

    Concept Note

Traditionally, heritage has often commemorated the history of men, and the sites inscribed on the World Heritage List are no exception. However, WHIPIC seeks to identify World Heritage sites that celebrate the culture and history of women and to share their stories.
