Campus-based co-curriculars in first semester 2023

28 Apr 2023

The Education and Networking Office operates a career education program related to heritage interpretation for high school students in Sejong City.

The course is a 'campus-type joint education course' conducted in cooperation with the Sejong City Office of Education, and aimed for helping students to learn about specialized subjects that are difficult to experience at school.

The course, which began in March, explored the concept of world heritage, international organizations and heritage-related professions, and natural and intangible heritage in turn. The remaining three sessions, through late May, will explore recorded heritage, cultural properties located outside Korea, and ways to utilize heritage.

A student who actively participated in the project said, "Listening to the vivid stories of experts in each field and discussing them with my friends has brought me closer to my vague dream of becoming a curator."

WHIPIC will continue to promote youth awareness of UNESCO and world heritage through various educational projects, and support the exploration of careers related to international organizations, strengthening local educational networking and fostering future talent.
