Roundtable Dialogue on bridging the gap between
conservation and development through Heritage Interpretation
On such grounds, WHIPIC invited experts in the fields of environment, conservation and development to hear about the role of heritage in each area and how we can achieve mutual cooperation through inclusive heritage interpretation and presentation.
The Roundtable Dialogue, Gamini Wijesuriya (Special Advisor to the Director-General of ICCROM), Jakhongir Khaydarov (Head of Office, UNDP Cyprus), Mario Santana Quintero (ICOMOS Secretary General, and Professor at Carleton University), Tim Badman (Head of Heritage, Culture and Youth, IUCN) participated, with Dr Sujeong Lee (Head of Research and Development Office, WHIPIC) serving as a chairperson. The program is as below, and the contents of the Roundtable Dialogue will be open for public viewership in the “Interpreting World Heritage” or WHIPIC's YouTube in December.
